Silverton Year Rounder Program

The Silverton Year Rounder Program, inspired by Town of Ouray, is designed to celebrate our year round businesses in our seasonal economy here in Silverton. The Silverton Year Rounder Program celebrates and supports local businesses that keep Silverton thriving throughout all seasons by remaining open at least 42 weeks per year. This program highlights the dedication of these “Year Rounders” who sustain the community’s economy, provide consistent jobs, and serve residents and visitors year-round. By promoting these businesses through marketing, events, and recognition, the program ensures that while all Silverton businesses receive visibility, special emphasis is placed on those committed to operating year-round—helping maintain a vibrant, welcoming, and resilient local economy in every season.

Eligible “Year-Rounders” will receive a waived business license fee for the following year, contingent upon continued compliance with all program requirements listed below. Please present proof of certification to the Town of Silverton Clerk to confirm your business license waiver.

Eligible businesses must meet all requirements below:

– Must be open 42 weeks or more (9 months out of the year). – Located in a Brick-and-Mortar Business within our Main Street District. – Open for 1 full year before able to apply as a “Year-Rounder. Must show you have been open for at least 42 weeks.
